The decision this is for.
Research Watch is a scoped analyst service for a specific watchlist. A useful update connects new information to a decision already on the table: a replication, a contrary finding, a revised claim or a shift in development context. Coverage and hours are bounded so “monitor the field” does not become an unlimited assignment.
What the scoped deliverable includes.
Coverage agreement
Name the mechanisms, organizations, source types and geographies included in the brief.
Change ledger
Separate new sources from genuine changes to an existing conclusion and avoid counting a press release as independent replication.
Decision notes
Explain the practical consequence, the uncertainty and whether deeper diligence is warranted.
Source handover
Provide links, dates and the reason each material item was included.
What we need to scope it.
A defined watchlist, the decisions it supports, current assumptions, desired cadence and escalation topics. A named reviewer and capacity must be confirmed.
How acceptance works.
Each cycle delivers against an agreed source cutoff and coverage scope. No-change periods can be reported honestly. Extraordinary deep dives are separately scoped.
Illustrative brief: tell an R&D lead whether new human evidence changes the rationale for a planned preclinical assay.
Where the scope stops.
Not continuous monitoring, an investment recommendation or a patent-status legal opinion. The website does not currently run a subscribed alert service.
Before you inquire.
Will every month contain a breakthrough?
No. A brief may conclude that nothing material changed. That is preferable to manufacturing importance from routine publications.
