The decision this is for.
Outsourcing a study is not just choosing a test from a menu. The buyer needs to know which question is being answered, how results will be accepted and what happens when an assay fails. Study Desk is a proposed coordination service connecting a defined research objective to an established laboratory under written terms.
What the scoped deliverable includes.
Study specification
The decision, model, comparisons, endpoints and acceptance criteria translated into a laboratory-ready request for quotation.
Vendor comparison
A like-for-like view of scope, exclusions, capacity, permitted commercial use, repeat policy and total quoted cost.
Delivery coordination
Schedule, sample-logistics responsibilities, milestone tracking and a clear escalation path for deviations.
Independent result review
Raw-data and metadata handover requirements, interpretation against the agreed question and a documented next step.
What we need to scope it.
The intended decision, available material, proposed model, timing constraints, preferred geography and a laboratory budget. Partner quotes and capacity must be confirmed before accepting a study.
How acceptance works.
An agreed protocol and vendor scope, defined milestones and a complete data handover. The management fee is separate from laboratory charges, which are preferably paid directly by the buyer.
Illustrative brief: compare three proposed senescence-assay packages when one quote excludes controls, one excludes analysis and one has no written repeat policy.
Where the scope stops.
Karam does not claim an operating wet laboratory or a signed vendor network. Clinical testing, regulated trial operations and shipping arrangements requiring specialist authorization are not assumed to be included.
Before you inquire.
Are laboratory charges included?
No. The $8,000 starting point is a proposed management fee. The final laboratory quote, shipping, repeats and other pass-through costs are separately identified.
Can a negative study still meet the scope?
Yes. Delivery quality and a complete, interpretable result matter. Biological success is not an acceptance condition.
Scope and proposed economics adapted from Karam’s 15 October 2026 commercial planning map. Prices are tests for a future written scope, not established sales, assured availability or verified willingness to pay. External sources do not endorse Karam.
